Country PRV Project - Updated

Update 9/12/25 - Reminder 2nd Shutdown scheduled for Sept. 16th 9am - 4pm

The second shutdown for the Country PRV Project is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th from 9am - 4pm and will affect the same customers that were part of the previous shutdown.  Water will be off for much of that duration and once the water is restored, significant flushing will follow.  District staff will flush the water main for several hours and even into the night if needed.

Customers should follow the same guidelines given below regarding discolored or even milky/cloudy water (which is an indicator of air in the lines).  Please keep in mind that if you have a long service line from your house to the meter (sometimes as long as 100ft), you will have to flush from the front hose bib for a longer time to flush out that entire service line of discolored water before it will run clear.

Thank you for your patience through this process!

Update 9/9/25 - Initial Shutdown today from 9am - 4pm

The shutdown for the bypass work is expected to last until 4pm today.  At that time, District staff will begin flushing the water main to clear the air and discolored water from the water main.  They will continue the flushing for several hours and even into the night as needed.

It is possible that (naturally occurring) sediments will be stirred up during the flushing and could discolor the water.  You should also expect to see "milky water" which is actually air bubbles from the water main filling back up with water after being empty of water.  If discolored water, or "milky water" is observed in your home plumbing, flush from the front outside hose bib until the water runs clear.  It can also help if you limit your water use while the flushing is under way.

Thank you for your patience through this process!
