Watermain Damage - Valley System Outage

UPDATE 4:25 - Service has been restored and the crew is finishing site restoration and flushing the system.  Customers may experience some temporary discolored water due to the high flows and watermain shut down.  

If possible try to limit water use until after 6:00 p.m. to allow time for the watermains to clear up.  Customers can also flush water from their front hose bib until it runs clear if they are still experiencing discolored water after 6:00 p.m.

The District was notified this morning that a contractor hit the District watermain during their construction project on SR162 approximately 1000 feet North of 128th.  The District has isolated the damage and will begin repair of the break as soon as possible.  

Staff anticipates the repair will take until late tonight to complete.  Once the repairs are complete, staff will flush as necessary to return the water quality to clear.
