POSITION SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF RESONSIBILITY

Seasonal Summer Maintenance/Groundskeeper (2 positions available) - Position open until filled

Salary Range - $20.00 - $24.00 DOE

Full Time – 40 hrs per week

Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

Starts immediately through mid-September (or as soon as available)

Valley Water District is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working individual for a temporary position in Maintenance/Groundskeeping.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Driving is an essential function of this position; a valid Washington State Driver's License and acceptable driving record required.  After a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal History Background Check will be conducted.  

POSITION DUTIES

This is a temporary full-time position that is primarily performed outdoors and involves painting hydrants, pressure washing, landscape maintenance of District easements and facilities, and additional tasks as assigned.  Candidate should possess the ability to read and write accurately and to follow written and oral instructions.  Candidate should also have the physical strength, stamina and agility sufficient to perform manual labor for extended periods under adverse conditions and in all types of weather.
